Rose Liefeld-Brennan
(Member MN Professional Upholsterers)
Rose earned her diploma from Century College (formerly 916 Vo-Tech) in 1985. She then started her own business and was self employed for the next 6 years. In 1991 she was hired to teach for South Central College in Faribault MN. She taught a 12 month diploma program there for 13 years. She is now self employed at her home shop and doing some private teaching. Rose's reasons for entering and staying in the upholstery field are many; she enjoys working with her hands, she loves textiles, she is very gratified by reviving old furniture. Rose appreciates the quality workmanship of a well make frame and wants to put just as much craftsmanship into the support, stuffing and covering.
"Quality
is a rare commodity in furniture these days. I take great pride in reupholstering
a well made piece of furniture. I feel good about what I do on a historical,
creative and environmental level."
